Under the affiliation of the University of Burdwan, the college has opened two units of NSS under the supervision of Prof.  Sampriya Chatterjee and Prof.  Paritosh Mondal.  Through this scheme many socil service and development projects have been done within the college and its adjoining areas. A special camp was successfully conducted this year by the NSS unit. To join this scheme students have to apply to the programme-officers. The scheme must be considered as an integral part of education.

Our College bears a good heritage to run NSS  as a Part of co-curricular activities. The NSS offers help to students in career guidance, skill development on First Aid, Public Speaking, HIV/AIDS awareness, to expedite community development projects and other Socio-Economic issues. Every year about 300 students can enrol their names to become members of NSS spread in two units on first-come-first-serve basis. A student is entitled to get a certificate provided she -
 

Attends 40 Sundays for two years and 2 hrs in each Sunday to devote herself to community service.
 

Attends at least one class / week for two years continuously for orientation programme & skill development.
 

Attends one special camp for seven days every two years.
